This course will provide an introductory survey of world politics involving a historical and theoretical analysis of the realtions among states and international organizations. It will also explore contemporary problems and issues in global politics, including international institutions and global order; diplomacy and bargaining; war, conflict, terrorism, and weapons of mass destruction; international trade, finance and the global economy; international economic development; the global environment; and human rights.
