Mendocino College Head Softball Coach Kelvin Chapmen is pleased to announce the following All-Conference player selections for the 2009 season:

Bay Valley Conference – First Team

NICOLE IRWIM, Ukiah High Graduate, sophomore, 3rd base - .442 batting average. Also nominated for All-Northern California Softball team.

Bay Valley Conference –Second Team

YVETTA VASQUEZ, Ukiah High graduate, freshmen, catcher - .330 batting average

AHLIE SMITH, Yreka High graduate, freshmen, infielder - .397 batting average, 5 home runs

KATHLIN WECKERLE, Yreka High graduate, freshmen, outfielder - .330 batting average, 20 stolen bases

JULIE JACKSON, Clearlake High graduate, freshmen, utility played three positions - .348 batting average

Bay Valley Conference record was 7-9 this season. There will be 11 freshmen players returning to next years to Mendocino College team.
