Mike Mari

 

Mike Mari returns to Mendocino College after having spent the past season at Humboldt State University (DII) in Arcata, CA. While at Humboldt State Coach Mari served as the Offensive Line Coach. Humboldt State's Offense finished the 2010 season with an 8-3 Record. Under Coach Mari's direction the offensive line surrended just 8 sacks to finish ranked #5 nationally.

Prior to Humboldt State Coach Mari spent 6 years as the Assistant Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator for Mendocino College. During this time Mendocino College won the Bay-Valley Conference Championship twice (2005 & 2007) while also winning the Mid-Empire Conference Championship in his final season (2009).

Coach Mari began his coaching career at St. Bernard's Catholic School. In his time at Saint Bernard's the football program was able to win two North Coast Section Titles.

After being awarded All-California Honors in High School, Mike went on to be a four year starter on the Offensive Line at Humboldt State University. After "HSU" Mike played two seasons in the Arena Football League (2000 & 2001) before injuries ended his playing days.

Coach Mari is married to the former Tara Pucillo. Mike is the proud father of his almost 2 year old daughter Madeline. The Mari family just welcomed a beautiful daughter, Mairead, on Friday July 22.
