Professor Phil Warf has headed the Political Science Department at Mendocino College since 2008, focusing on American Government but also teaching Political Theory, Comparative Politics and International Relations. In addition, he teaches Contemporary American History and Social Science Research Methods. Prior to coming to Mendocino, Phil taught part time at the University of Arizona while doing public opinion research and consulting. From 1995 to 2003, he worked in Washington, DC., first at the Democratic National Committee, then conducting polling for campaigns, companies and interest groups at Greenberg Quinlan Research, and finally at a public opinion research program affiliated with the University of Maryland. He has an M.A. in International Studies from the University of South Carolina as well as bachelors degrees in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Memphis.
