Summer 2009 ECO 201 – Principles of Microeconomics (3 units)

Course Description

This class covers economic analysis of the theory of prices, including supply and demand, marginal utility, cost and revenue concepts, market structure, and pricing the factors of production. Students learn to use economic principles to analyze the economic challenges facing the individual and business organization.

  • Estimated Time per Week:  Students can expect to spend approximately 8 to 12 hours per week reading, writing, and taking quizzes and participating in online class discussions. This is a full 17-week semester course being offered in a six week format!
  • Special Requirements: Log into Etudes the first day of class (6/22).  Computer with programs compatible to this course are required as well as an internet connection (dial up not recommended) and an email address. 
  • Assignments & Tests: Students will be assigned chapters from the text and outside sources to read and submit weekly assignments, which will include preparing a personal budget and financial plan.  There will be a mid-term and final exam taken online as well.

You need to do this on each computer you use while taking a class through ETUDES-NG.
