Spring 2014 MTH 11 Basic Mathematics (3 units)

Course Description

This course will be a study of the fundamental concepts and processes of basic arithmetic with whole numbers, fractions and decimals, including the fundamentals of percents; converting between fractions, decimals, and percents; unit conversion; and applications.

    • Textbook:  Either 032119991X or 1256604615: , Approximate cost new $110 or $125 (Students can take advantage of a 17 day temporary access code – but they must purchase an access code or the book with the access code before the end of the 17 days.  Students need to log in on the first day and get started as assignments are due the first week.)
  • Estimated Time per Week: Students can expect to spend approximately 3 hours per week, per unit (so, 9 hours) reading, writing, and taking quizzes and participating in online class discussions.

  • Additional Comments: The entire course will be conducted online through the MyMathLab website. Students are required to have Internet access, an active email account, the ability to use word processing, conduct Internet searches, attach files, send emails, and work independently.

You need to do this on each computer you use while taking a class through ETUDES.

(Type using all lower case letters)
Example:

Default Password: Month Day of birth in school records
 
(Type using all lower case letters)
Example:
Birthday is April 11th, 1982 (04/11/82)
Password = 0411

You will be prompted to create a "strong" password, if you are a returning student use the same password you previously created.
