Spring 2014  BIOLOGY 242 INTRO TO OCEANOGRAPHY (3.0 units)

Course Description

This course is designed to study the geology, chemistry, physics and biology of the world's oceans. This course is transferable to UC and CSU and may be used to help fulfill general education requirements in biology.

Recommended Prep: (if needed) English 80 or placement into English 200 through assessment process.

  • Estimated Time per Week: Students can expect to spend approximately 9 to 12 hours per week reading, writing, and taking quizzes and participating in online class discussions.

  • Additional Comments: The entire course will be conducted online through the Etudes program. Students are required to have Internet access, an active email account, the ability to use word processing, conduct Internet searches, attach files, send emails, and work independently.

You will be prompted to create a "strong" password, if you are a returning student use the same password you previously created.
