Course Description
Basic formatting of letters, reports, outlines, and bibliographies, as well as, developing keyboard composing skills, speed and accuracy improvement. Speed goal: 35 wpm. Course may not meet major requirements at transfer institutions. See you counselor for more information. (CSU)
Recommended Prep: BOT 100.1 or minimum typing speed of 20 wpm.

- Estimated Time per Week: Students can expect to spend approximately 5.5 hours per week reading, typing, and taking timings.
- Special Requirements: Email the instructor after you sign up for the class. Log into Etudes the first day of class (1/24).
- Assignments & Tests: Students will complete assignments using the McGraw Hill software. Tests will be completed using Etudes.
- Additional Comments: The entire course will be conducted online through McGraw Hill and Etudes program. Students are required to have Internet access, an active email account, the ability to use word processing, attach files, send emails, and work independently.

Here is a flash tutorial (Flash presentation opens in a new window) that demonstrates the log in protocol. Be sure to check System Requirements before getting started with Etudes. You need to do this on each computer you use while taking a class through Etudes.
