Course Description
Personal help, review and drill in the basic arithmetical operations of whole numbers, fractions, decimals, percents, squares, square roots, ratio, proportion, and the application of these skills to practical problem solving.

Required Textbook/MyMathLab Access Code - Options include:
a. Textbook, bundled with MyMathLab Access Code (recommended; ISBN 0-13-167971-6): Basic College Mathematics, 5th edition; Tobey and Slater, Prentice Hall, 2005).
b. Stand Alone MyMathLab Access Code (ISBN 0-13-14789-4X): Provides an electronic version of the textbook. Although this is a less expensive way to take the course, since everything needed to complete the course is online, the downside is that you must be online to study and complete assignments.

Calculator Policy – Calculators are not allowed in this course. You need to be proficient in doing basic mathematics, without the use of electronic devices.
