Fall 2012 CSC 134: Web Application Development (3 units)

Course Description
This course will explore web development, focusing on developing projects that integrate server- and client-side programming with the use of a a solution stack such as LAMP. Students will develop scripts, databases, and interfaces to support web applications that generate and store dynamic content. This course will also include discussion and projects related to security and database integration.

- Estimated Time per Week: Students can expect to spend approximately 10 hours per week reading, working on projects, taking quizzes and participating in online class discussions. Due dates will be enforced.
- Assignments & Tests: Construction of web applications
- Additional Comments: The entire course will be conducted online through the ETUDES course management system. Students are required to have Internet access, an active email account, comfort with computer systems in general, and a background in basic web design.

Here is a flash tutorial (Flash presentation opens in a new window) that demonstrates the log in protocol. Be sure to check System Requirements before getting started with Etudes. You need to do this on each computer you use while taking a class through Etudes.
