Course Description

Word processor, electronic spreadsheet and database programs in the college lab provide hands-on experience with a microcomputer relating it to business and home microcomputer applications, operating systems, software evaluation, hrdware concepts, essential microcomputer terminology and introduction to graphics and telecommunications.

    Both of these items should be available at the Mendocino College Bookstore. You may also be able to purchase a used text at amazon.com, but know that you need the book for the first week of class – you’ll need to order early!
  • Computer System Requirements
    The computers in the computing center meet all the requirements for this course. It is your responsibility to make sure you have met these requirements. Not having the appropriate system is not an acceptable excuse for not having an assignment completed on time.  It is recommended that you have a backup plan in case your primary computer goes down.
