The Theatre Arts Department offers two degree options: the Associate of Arts degree for transfer (AA-T) which prepares students for transfer to a four-year institution, and is modeled after the statewide "Transfer Model Curriculum" and the Associate of Arts degree in Theatre Arts (AA) which includes the option of emphasizing in either Theatre or Dance. After completing a degree program in theatre, a student may be qualified for work as a teacher, actor, director, lighting designer, set designer, cosume designer, stage manager, carpenter, electrician, stitcher, stage hand, radio / television announcer, playwright, or theatre critic.

* Engish 225 (Shakespeare) is strongly
recommended for all individuals who are majoring in
Theatre. Additional courses in dance (THE 231, 234,
238, 239, 242, or 243) and singing (MUS 230 & 231) are
also recommended for students with an acting focus.
