Message from the President - December 12, 2007

Attached please find this year’s Program Review forms and guidelines. These materials are being distributed prior to the winter break so those of you wanting to use the break to begin work on your program review may do so. Happy Holidays! :)

You may also access Program Review forms and support information on the college intranet: http://www.mendocino.edu/Instruction/Templates/pr.html

The process for 2007-2008:

Social, economic and demographic information for Lake and Mendocino Counties is also included on the same site. If you would like any further information regarding your program, please contact Charlie Duffy, Director of Institutional Research: cduffy@mendocino.edu

For programs not completing Part 2 this year, your narrative and objectives from last year’s Program Review Part 2 will be used to support your requests for resources in 2008.

If your program is not on the mandatory Part 2 list, you may also volunteer to complete Part 2 if any of the following affects you:

o Your program will experience major changes because of Measure W Bond Projects – new bond-related issues that were not addressed in your last Program Review.

o You believe last year’s Program Review did not adequately substantiate your requests and you want to provide a more complete explanation of how your program objectives support the college strategic goals and directions.

o Changes in program objectives, plans or staffing suggest to you that an updated Part 2 would more accurately represent your program.

If you have any questions about the process, please discuss with your supervisor. Thank you for completing your Program Review and best wishes for 2008!

Kathy
