The college's department of Health, Human Services and Public Safety Programs strives to:
The department offers a variety of courses that are academic and/or occupational in nature. Certain academic courses meet college graduation requirements and many are transferable to four-year colleges and universities. Occupational courses may also meet graduation and transferability requirements. Occupational courses are generally part of a series of courses that constitute a specific program (such as the Paramedic, Alcohol and Other Drug Studies, or Administration of Justice programs). Certificate of Achievement/ Associate's DegreeUpon successful completion of all courses in a program, a student will be awarded a Certificate of Achievement or, with the completion of additional courses, an Associate's Degree.
